About the company

Azelis UK & Ireland was created through a combination of 4 major acquisitions. Particularly in the UK, in 2002 we acquired Chance & Hunt Ltd which was established in the distribution of industrial and performance chemicals across market sectors including coatings, agrochemicals, water treatment and animal nutrition. In 2008 we then acquired S Black Ltd expanding our business into the Life Sciences sector, including Personal Care, Pharma and Food. In 2011, Azelis acquired S&D UK Group which strengthened our position in food and pharma.

In 2022 Azelis UK expanded into the industrial chemicals business with the acquisition of 100% of the shares of WhitChem, a well-regarded distributor focused on CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers) and R&PA (rubber & plastic additives) in the UK.

In the UK you can rely on teams of market focused, technical trained sales and marketing staff. We have 4 laboratories catering to Personal Care, Homecare & Industrial Cleaning, Food & Nutrition and Pharma & Health, and we work with customers and principals to develop formulations for their applications. Our network of warehouses across the UK is geared to providing first-class service to our customers.
