About the company

TLS Hydro Power, a member of the TLS EnergyGroup, which also includes Tradelink Solutions, was established in 1999. Over the course of the past 19 years, the company has developed a total of 10 hydropower schemes - either completely from scratch or by renovating projects that had fallen into disrepair. It retains a majority shareholding in most of the schemes it has developed and continues to be responsible for the day to day operations of its projects.

TLS Hydro's first project involved the renovation of a historic generating station on the River Leven at Balgonie Castle near Glenrothes. With a combined capacity of 650kWs the two turbines, originally installed in 1922, were returned to production and continue to generate 2.4GWh per annum.

TLS Hydro Power currently has a total of 10 projects located across Scotland and the north of England.
